Progress

After way too many late nights and long days recently, we are so looking forward to some sleep.  A year in the making and we are close to finishing phase one. Next up ceiling fans, barn beam, and floors.

View from the main house entrance:

We put the old sink and JenAir cabinet where the island will be, just to get a feel for the layout.

We sold our furniture set and are using some stuff we had been storing, like this papasan.  The kids love it, Ty hates it!

Above is a new piece we are hoping will fit our new table (not shown).  Ten foot Masonic bench. You can see the PTAC unit to the left of the bench.  It does a good job of heating the space, but takes time to go noise deaf to it.

Renovation realities

Wow...this has been almost a year in the making and we still aren't done.

Half of the room is completely sheet rocked and painted and ready for phase two--kitchen design!

We have to keep flip flopping all the furniture from one side to the other-- what a workout. You can see the light color we chose for the wall.

This picture is of the other side. The hubby is hard at work today to finish the last coat of sparkle on the ceiling. My Friday night plans include dinner at the new Draft house and then one late night coat of paint.

Yes, those are the French doors buried beyond the mess if tools.

More to come...
